Welcome to Boatshore Cottage by the Sea!
Boatshore is a quirky seafront cottage in a building which dates back to 1690! Traditionally used as a cellar space for fishermen to hang their nets, this dwelling has been lovingly transformed into a cosy little cottage complete with uninterrupted sea views and a private seafront garden just metres from the shore. It features a large livingroom/kitchen with a comfortable sofa bed, a separate internal bunk bedroom, a shower room and separate wc. This cottage is perfect for a peaceful seaside retreat for couple & families.
The space
Boatshore is unique in every way and offers a very unusual seaside holiday. The cottage comprises of a large Livingroom/kitchen with sea views. The comfortable corner sofa turns into a very comfortable double bed. There is also a small wardrobe with an additional drawer space for your belongings.
In the kitchen there is an additional two chairs (one of which is a retro revamped deckchair!) There is also a compact dining set which seats four.
The kitchen is a small galley area to the front of the room with a sink situated right in front of the amazing sea views. There will be no arguments on who’s washing the dishes because everyone will want to stand there!
There is an under counter fridge with freezer compartment, a four ring gas hob and a fan assisted full sized oven.
In addition to this room there is an internal ‘bunk room’ perfect for kids or teenagers. It had a solid wooden bunk with a small double on the bottom and a single bed on the top. There are under-bed storage drawers and a small wardrobe.
There is a separate shower room and w.c, both have locks on the inside of the doors.

The cottage’s best feature is a small private garden complete with patio furniture. In summertime, the garden gets the sun from about 1pm until sun down with spectacular sunsets as it dips behind Fife. From the garden (and beach just in front) you can see from the Three iconic bridges right along the entire coastline of Fife.
If we know you are travelling with kids we have a range of beach toys and buckets and spades so that you can travel a bit lighter! We also provide an age-appropriate book bag for night time for our youngest guests.
The cottage is equipped with unlimited free super-fast fibre, a 32” smart tv with USB ports, a blueray player and an old fashioned radio! We also keep a large number of dvds, games, jigsaws and books for all ages.
Guest access
The entire cottage and private garden is yours for the duration of your stay. There is free unlimited parking on street.
Other things to note
Boatshore is a peaceful cottage and nestled in a row of fishermen’s cottages. We recommend it for a retreat, a family holiday or a romantic getaway. We do not recommend you come here to party- we do not accept Stag or Hen Dos! We like our neighbours and more importantly – they like us!
