Boatshore Cottage is the “Granny Cottage” next door to Jonah Cottage, a contender on Scotland’s Home of the Year 2021. The oldest part of this remarkable building dates back to 1690! Back then cottages were built to last- even right on the sea front!

Amazing stay here, so many personal touches that made the stay special, including our host Hannah bringing us wood and setting up the fire pit so we could have a sunset fire. By far the best place I have stayed, I am a beach lover and this cottage could not get any closer to the beach!!! The cottage was perfect and had everything we needed. The bay is perfect for a wild swim, which I did everyday and also had a go at paddle boarding!! It was perfect sitting in the garden watching watching the waves and the stars on a night. Everyone who passed by the garden were very friendly and stopped for a chat. We also tried the local pub which was lovely and had live music. Hannah was the perfect host and so so lovely and gave us advice on where to go!! I will 100% be returning!! Total PERFECTION!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A gorgeous, last minute, teeny, tiny escape to Boatshore cottage for the weekend. Hannah was super at communicating and the cheeky cider & Tunnocks teacake was a welcome surprise on arrival. This is a super spot with quick rail links to Edinburgh or North Berwick. Everyone we met was lovely and it was glorious to sit watching the world and the dolphins go by. Thank you again ☺️

Just spent 4 nights at Boatshore Cottage ...fantastic hospitality from the Gorgeous Hannah and family who went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Fantastic location for sightseeing along this Beautiful coastline and buses every 15 min into Edinburgh making it easy for city sightseeing. So much to see and enjoyed sitting on the swing chair watching and talking to the "lady's of the lake " as I named them wild swimmers who are there every day at high tide. Would not hesitate to recommend Boatshore Cottage . Also the cafe across the road in Cockenzie House was fab delish food .

My partner and I have been here for past 4 days and have found the cottage so very comfortable, clean and well situated for a peaceful and relaxing break. Having the garden right next to the beach to sit and chill in has been wonderful and everyone has been very welcoming and pleasant to talk to as they go by on the coastal path. Will definitely be back again

We enjoyed a lovely 4 night family holiday at Boatshore Cottage last week. The cottage was cosy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location and views were amazing, with a beautiful bay right on the doorstep. Perfect for a daily dip, sea glass hunting and seal spotting! We will definitely be back.
